Action Requested
Approve,by motion,final plans for the reconstruction of County State Aid Highway (CSAR) 1 (Proctor
Avenue) from Trunk Highway (TH) 10 to the railroad tracks.
Background/Discussion
Since the update provided at the July 10, 2019, council work session, Sherburne County has continued
toward the final design of the CSAR 1 reconstruction from TH 10 to the railroad tracks. Construction is
planned for 2020. The CSAR 1 project team has worked closely with MnDOT to coordinate with the TH
10 reconstruction from Xenia Avenue to 4th Street (2021 construction).
Upon approval of the final plans, the county will subsequently submit to MnDOT for federal aid
approval. Upon federal aid approval, the county will advertise for bids and award the project once all
federal aid requirements have been met. The county anticipates the project beginning in May and being
complete by fall of 2020,with the exception of minor tree removal in late winter 2020.
Financial Impact
The county was awarded federal funding for the project and does not anticipate any city cost
participation.
