Redevelopment Project
Background/Discussion
The investigation of the stolen stained glass window continues with only one tip received. However, the
information provided did not help. Detective Drayna followed up with the former property owners.
On December 21, 2019, Elk River Fire Department conducted their first training exercise with the Elk
River Regional Fire Academy. There were 18 cadets and a handful of instructors participating in the
training exercise. Elk River Fire will continue to conduct trainings on the third Thursday of each month.
Due to the complexities of the location of these properties, and the proximity to the overhead
powerlines, Elk River Fire Department will not be able to conduct controlled burns on the properties to
take them down in the spring.
We have some interest from a couple of developers in the potential redevelopment of these properties.
We will continue to market these properties to realtors and developers.
