DISCUSSION:
Had 9 new house services.
Continue collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits.
Continue working on removing the overhead infrastructure on Pascal Street, Troy Street,
and 189th Avenue.
We are going through the electrical infrastructureto make sure the map matches what is
in the field. We are checking that the proper warning stickersarein place, using an
infrared camera to make sure the transformer connections are not overheating, and
checking for any other issues. This task will be preformed between other jobs that come
in.
The shipment of decorative poles came in but had to be sent back because they were
damaged in shipping. We are working with the decorativepole supplierto get thisissue
resolvedas quicklyas possible.

Continue rebuilding the three-phase overhead line on Jarvis Street between 165
Avenue and Highway 10. This is a project we have been working on in the winter
months when the ground is frozen. There are some three phase undergroundlinesthat
will need to be installed beforewe can finish the project.
Continue working on the replacement of seven poles that didn’t pass inspection. This
task will be performed between other jobs as they come in.
Carr’s Tree Service and ERMU crews continuetreetrimming.
In preparation for truckinspections, staff istesting the overhead and underground
protective grounds, the fiberglass hot sticks, and cleaning thebooms. These are all done
annually.
A vehicle struck one of the new decorative streetlights at the intersection of Main Street
and ParishAvenue; it willneedto be replaced.
We took delivery of our new Vermeer Brush Chipper. The chipper was a budgeted
equipment replacement.
Field staff were trainedonNISC AppSuitethe week of January 21. Thismobile workforce
software will enable us to process service orders electronically.

Scott Thoreson, Curt Wark, Matt Schwartz, Nick Hommerding, Devin Ruprecht, Gene
Stoeckel, and Mike Langer attended the driving skills training at the Minnesota Highway
Safety and ResearchCenter in St. Cloud on January 30.
Staff went through the formal bid process for the new power plant substation
transformer; the bid opening was on February 4. As we received no bids, we are working
with Power System Engineering (PSE) to revise the technical specs to attract more
bidders.
