DISCUSSION:
Reminder that the annual Commissioner Orientation will be held March 10 at 2:30 p.m.
in the ERMU Commission Room. Please be sure to bring your Governance Commission
Policy ring binger to the orientation as well be replacing and adding any policies that
have changed over the past year.
The February bill insert is a promotional flyer on automatic bill payment. Automatic bill
drafted from their bank account on the due date, is a quick and easy way for customers
to pay their bill. A $5.00 bill credit will be offered to new customers enrolling in the
program. Attached is a copy of the bill insert.
February social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: automatic bill
payment, 4 reasons why your HVAC filter may not be filtering the air, space heater
safety, an energy crossword puzzle, and the debut of ERMUs brand-new booklet Your
Guide to Home Energy Use. Staff will also be posting public service announcements such
as dates of upcoming commission meetings, holiday business closures, and trash pickup
delays. We will also be recognizing the Water Department for being a recipient of the
Water Fluoridation Quality Award.
The Star News helped to get the word out about ERMUs 0% electric rate increase when
they featured an article on the front page of the January 18 edition. The article
explained how it was possible to hold our electric rates for 2020, and the positive impact
it has on our consumer owners and the community. Attached is a copy of the article.
Staff met with Prime Advertising & Design on January 16 for a discovery kickoff meeting
for the website redesign project. A proposed navigation structure was also presented.
Since the kickoff meeting, staff has been working with Prime to fine-tune and finalize
the navigation structure before moving onto the next phase of the web development,
which involves the creative design process.
