RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION FOR VACATING PARTS OF MEADOWVALE ROAD
AND 8TH STREET
WHEREAS,
a majority of the property
right-of-way have requested
petition dated 3/24/92 to
according to law; and,
owners abutting the

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 20, 1992, before
the City Council at the Elk River Public Library on
such petition after due published and posted notice
had been given, as well as personal notice to affected
property owners by the clerk on April 9, 1992, and all
persons interested were given an opportunity to be
heard; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that it will be in the best interest of the
City to approve such petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that such petition is hereby
granted and the right-of-way described as follows is
hereby vacated:

PARTS OF MEADOWVALE ROAD & 8th STREET TO BE VACATED:
Those parts of Meadowvale Road 50-called and 8th Street so-designated,
situated in the City of Elk River, Sherburne County, Minnesota and being a
part of Lots 6, 8, 11, 23, 12, and 13 of AUDITOR'S SUBDIVISION NO.3, said
Sherburne County, 66 feet in width, or to the full width of the parts thereof
presently or formerly used by the public and City as a roadway, the Northerly
line thereof described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the South line of said Lot 13 a distance of 65
feet, as measured along said South line, northwesterly of the most
southerly corner of said Lot 13; thence southeasterly on and along said
South line of said Lot 13 and the southeasterly extension thereof to
intersect the North line of the South 33 feet of the Northwest Quarter of
the Northeast Quarter of Section 33, Township 33, Range 26, said Sherburne
County; thence easterly along said North line of the South 33 feet to
intersect with and terminate at the West line of Quinn Avenue as presently
located and established in said City of Elk River. The northwesterly line
of said to be vacated portion of Meadowvale Road is at right angles to said
South line of Lot 13, and the east line thereof is said West line of Quinn
Avenue.
