DISCUSSION:
TheBoard of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) met on
February 18, 2020 at Shakopee Public Utilities in Shakopee, Minnesota. Both
Commissioner Mary Stewartand I were able to attend.
The Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce (ERACC) Government Relations Committee
met on March 4. The committee reviewed the February 5 legislative preview event,
discussed the upcoming MnDOT Highway 169 project update scheduled for March 16,
and discussed other local and state priorities. The committee also discussed options for
this year’s candidates forum.
The Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association (MMUA) Government Relations
Committee started up again with Friday conference calls on March 6. The committee is
working to finalize positions for the upcoming MMUA Legislative Conference. The
conference will be held March 31 – April 1, 2020, at the DoubleTree Hotel located
downtown St. Paul.
