RESOLUTION 92 - 49
RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE CITY HALL/POLICE STATION
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has been working on plans for a
new City Hall/Police Station for over one year; and,
WHEREAS, the City has hired Eos Architecture as the architects
for the project; and,
WHEREAS, the City has arranged financing for the project and
has sold bonds for the new facility; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River at the April
27, 1992, City Council meeting authorized Eos
Architecture to advertise for bids for the
construction of the new City Hall/Police Station; and,
WHEREAS, on June 2, 1992, Eos Architecture received and opened
14 bids for the new City Hall/Police Station; and,
.
WHEREAS, Eos Architecture has reviewed all bids and is
recommending awarding the contract to BOR-SON
Construction, Inc., of Bloomington, Minnesota as the
low responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Elk River that it hereby approves an award of
contract and notice to proceed to BOR-SON
Construction, Inc., of Bloomington, Minnesota, for the
amount of $2,182,500.00 for the construction of the
new City Hall/Police Station as per the bidding
documents dated May 4, 1992.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 8th day of June, 1992.
