VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING

A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Bank of Elk River on Feb 19, 1941 at 3:00
P.M. for the purpose of selecting a site for the sewage treatment plant.
Members present:
M.C. Tesch, Pres; Frank Nickerson, E.L. Shadick, and G.A. Bailey, Trustees; J.
Clinton Walker, Clerk
Mr. Duval of Toltz King and Day and Mr. Chard and Mr. Green of the Highway Dept. were present
at the meeting. The plans of the sewer system were studied and the merits of several sites were
discussed. It was decided to locate the treatment plant on a tract of land formerly belonging to the
J.E. Nord farm and now owned by the highway dept.
