VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
November 3, 1941
A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Bldg on November 3, 1941 at 7:30 P.M.
Members present:
M.C. Tesch, Pres; Frank Nickerson, E.L. Shadick, and G.A. Bailey, Trustees; J.
Clinton Walker, Clerk
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. J.E. Hamlett presented figures showing the cost of construction of the sidewalk just completed
on Line Street.
After some discussion a motion was made by E.L. Shadick and seconded by G.A. Bailey to charge
the property owner 25 cents a running foot for curb and 14 cents a square foot for sidewalk on the
projects just completed. Motion carried.
Mr. Arthur Leger applied for a license for two pool tables at the Golden Pheasant.
A motion was made by Frank Nickerson and seconded by G.A. Bailey granting the license. Motion
carried.
A motion was made by G.A. Bailey and seconded by Frank Nickerson allowing the following bills:
