VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 4, 1941
The village council met as a canvassing board on Dec. 4, 1941 for the purpose of canvassing the
results of the Village Election held on Dec. 2, 1941.
The Judges report of the election returns was as follows:
Total votes cast 67
Of the votes cast M.C. Tesch received 65 for Mayor – Herman Marohn received 1 for Mayor
G.A. Bailey received 65 for Trustee
H.J. Pfeiffer received 63 for Justice of Peace. F. Nickerson received 1 for Justice of Peace. C.E.
Brown received 1 for Justice of Peace.
After examining the report of the election E.L. Shadick introduced a resolution declaring M.C.
Tesch Mayor for two years, G.A. Bailey trustee for three years, H.J. Pfeiffer Justice of Peace for two
years.
Frank Nickerson seconded the resolution which carried.
No further business. Meeting adjourned.
