RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
River
A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE CITY OF NUEVO GUALCHO IN
EL SALVADOR AND THE CITY OF ELK RIVER IN THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA AS SISTER CITIES
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has been requested by the
Elk River Rotary Club to support a Sister City
Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested to establish a
Sister City relationship with the City of Nuevo
Gualcho in El Salvador; and,
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has offered to develop and
foster ties between the cultures and communities of
North and Central America through the Sister City
Program; and,
.
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has indicated its
willingness and desire to support the City of Nuevo
Gualcho through the Sister City Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Elk River City Council
that the City of Elk River in the United States of America and
the City of Nuevo Gualcho in El Salvador become Sister
Cities.
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 27th
day of July, 1992.
