RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A 30 MILE AN HOUR SPEED LIMIT
IN DEERFIELD THIRD, DEERFIELD FOURTH, AND ROYAL OAKS RIDGE
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has determined that the roadways
in the above named residential developments lack
designated speed zones and is of great concerncto the
City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has determined that the above
named Addition's streets qualify to be classified as
an Urban Roadway District as defined by Minnesota
Statutes 169.01, Subdivision 59.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Elk River City Council
that:
1. As the governing body, it hereby declares the
below listed roadways in Deerfield Third,
Deerfield Fourth, and Royal Oaks Ridge as an
Urban District.
2. The Superintendent of the Street Department is
ordered to install 30 mile per hour speed limit
signs where appropriate.
3. The Elk River Police Department is ordered to
enforce said speed.
4. The City Clerk shall send a copy of this
resolution to MnDOT.
