RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SIGN PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River is
authorized in Section 900.22 - titled "Sign
Regulations" of the Elk River Code of Ordinances to
require permit fees for the review and inspection of
signs and that these fees shall be set by resolution
of the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has received a
recommendation from City staff based upon the amount
of time and effort involved in reviewing and
inspecting signs.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Elk River that sign permit fees paid to the City
shall be $30 for signs up to and including 100 square
feet in sign area; $90 for signs greater than 100
square feet and up to and including 300 square feet in
sign area; and $150 for signs in excess of 300 square
feet in sign area. Said permit fees shall not be
applied to sign permits for temporary signs issued to
nonprofit or charitable organizations pursuant to
Section 900.22 (4)(a).
Passed and adopted this 8th day of September, 1992, by the City
Council of the City of Elk River.
