VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
February 18, 1935
A Special meeting of the Village Council was held at Caleys Hdwe Store, Thursday, Feb. 18, 1935 at
3. O’Clock P.M.
Present: D.E. Davis, Pres.; Geo. Cornelius, J.D. Flaherty and Wm. Patenaude, Trustees;
Wm. H. Greupner, Clerk.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the matter of allowing Mr. G.H. Lewis a Dance Permit
to have dances in his restaurant a motion was made by Wm Greupner, seconded by Wm Patenaude
and carried to allow Mr. Lewis a Dance Permit at the rate of $2.00 a month.
It was also brought up at this meeting that A.L. Parker was holding dances without a permit The
Clerk was instructed to see Mr. Parker and tell him if he wishes to continue his dances he will have
to take out permit.
No further business, meeting adjourned.
