08-14-1935 VCM Special VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING August 14, 1935 The special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday August 14, 1935 at 8 o’clock P.M. The purpose of this meeting was to meet with S.E. Sullivan, relief adm. In regards to getting up a project for curb and sidewalk. Mr. Sullivan made up a project which called for 12 blocks of curb and sidewalk. The cost to the property owner would be 10 cents a running ft for curb, 7 ½ cents a sq foot for sidewalk. This amount would pay for the material. He stated the men working on the project, including a foreman, would be payed from the federal funds. A motion was made by Wm. Greupner seconded by Wm Patenaude to have Mr. Sullivan send in the application for this project of 12 blocks of curb and sidewalk. Motion carried. L.G. Nelson and M.K. Cliff came before the Council and asked to have an ordinance passed which would restrict people from putting up certain kinds of buildings in the Village of Elk River. The clerk was instructed to see Frank White and inquire if such an ordinance could be passed. No further business meeting adjourned. Wm. H. Greupner D.E. Davis Clerk Pres
