VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
September 10, 1935
The special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday September 10,
1935 at 8 o’clock P.M.
Members present:
D.E. Davis, Pres.; Geo. Cornelius, Wm Patenaude, Trustees;
Wm H Greupner, Clerk.
The purpose of this meeting was to decide if the Village wanted to buy the aluminated stop signs.

Chas Patterson representing the American Development Co was in Elk River on Sept 5 and
installed a stop sign on main and Quincy Streets for a try out. Mr. Patterson was present at this
meeting to see if the Council was interested in buying two of these signs, to be installed on Main
Street. The price of each sign would be $75.00 less 10%. After looking signs over carefully and
realizing the necessity of slowing down traffic on Main Street a motion was made by Wm. Greupner
seconded by Wm Patenaude to purchase two of these signs. Motion carried
