VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
September 1, 1937
The special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Wed Sep 1, 1937 at 8
o’clock P.M.
Members present:
J.D. Flaherty, Pres.; G.A. Bailey, Geo Cornelius, Wm Patenaude, Trustees;
Wm H Greupner, Clerk.
Mr. A.L. Kipp, E.J. Rowland and J.F. Ellafson representing the State Highway Dept came before the
Council and presented the plans for the new highway which they are going to build between Anoka
and Elk River and requested the Elk River Council to pass a resolution approving the grade of the
new highway which will run into the Village limits. After a lengthy discussion the Council felt that
the grade met with their approval but first wanted to show them to Frank White, Vill Attorney, and
would act upon the matter at the next regular meeting.
No further business meeting adjourned.
