Public Works Director Reviewed by Cal Portner, City Administrator Action Requested Award, by motion, the Contract for Carpet Replacement at City Hall to Hiller Commercial Floors in the amount of $124,796, plus $13,160, for labor to move file cabinets/desks etc. for a total of $137,956 Background/Discussion The 2019 Building Maintenance Division Capital Improvement Plan identified $150,000 for carpet replacement throughout city hall, however the project was pushed to 2020. Staff received three quotes for the requested Pure Attitude carpet. Three quotes were received as follows:  St. Paul Linoleum and Carpet - $154,652.00 (not include moving file cabinets/etc.)  Rivers Edge Flooring - $144,661.50 (not include moving file cabinets/etc.)  Hiller Commercial Floors - $141,478.00 (not include moving file cabinets/etc.) Upon establishing the low quote for the requested carpet was from Hiller, staff met with their representative and reviewed the original requested Pure Attitude carpet and an alternative option in which they had provided pricing for in their quote. The alternative carpet carries less cost but is a higher quality, better looking option and carries a lifetime warranty. After review, staff recommends going with the revised option. Financial Impact The total cost for the project is $137,956.
