DISCUSSION:
Installed 5 new residential services, which involvesthe installation of a secondary line
once the customer requests service.
Two electric poles were struck by vehicles, one on County Road 12 and one on Jarvis
Street. We had to replace the support cables for both.
The City’s Fleet Maintenance Division will be performing Department of Transportation
inspections on our trucks and trailers during March and April.
With the decreasing frost depth, we are expectingan increaseinournumber of
projects.
Staff worked with electricians on service upgrades at Distinctive Iron and the ResCare
Building.
The electric department has been adapting work processes during the COVID-19
pandemic. We are using crew rotations and social distancing practices to minimize risk
to staff and the community.
