DISCUSSION:
Delivered sevennew water meters.
Sealed the water meter, installed an encoder receiver transmitter, and took curb stop
ties from threewater services.
Completed 15 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples
o All confirmednegative for Coliform Bacteria
o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH
Completed 22 routine fluoride samples
o All samples met MDH standards
o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report
Submitted Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the Diesel Generation Plantto the
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
Completed and submitted the 2019 Water Conservation Report to DNR.
We opened the gates at the Lake Orono Dam on March 16 to meet the demand of
increased, incoming water flow from the spring snow melt. The lake level is checked
dailyand gates are adjustedaccordinglyto control waterflow.
On March 30 work resumed on the Auburn Street Water Tower Rehabilitation Project.
Work on the tower itself should be completed by May 15, at that point the cell phone
provider antennas can be reinstalled on the tower.
The vacant Water Operator Position was offered to andaccepted byAustin Kremers. He
is scheduled to start April 13.
The water operators have safely continued daily operation of municipal wellsandwater
treatment plants. We continue takingsamplesand testingwater to ensure wemaintain
qualitystandardsset by theEPA.
