Special Meeting of the Elk River
Economic Development Authority
Held at the Elk River City Hall
Monday, March 16, 2020
Members Present: President Dan Tveite, Commissioners Garrett Christianson, Matt
Westgaard, Jennifer Wagner, Jeff Hartwig, Charlie Blesener, and Nate
Ovall (via Skype)
Members Absent: None
Staff Present: Economic Development Director Amanda Othoudt and Economic
Development Specialist Colleen Eddy
Note: Commissioner Ovall and the consultant firms were present via virtual meetings due to
COVID-19 concerns.
1. Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic
Development Authority was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by President Tveite.
2. Strategic Plan Proposals
The EDA interviewed the following four consultants via virtual meetings in response
to the EDA Strategic Plan Request for Proposal:
Future iQ
Ady Advantage
Stantec
WSB & Associates
Discussion took place and the EDA favored Stantec for their strategic planning
work. A formal decision will be made at the regular meeting immediately following
the special meeting.
3. Adjournment
There being no further business, President Tveite adjourned the meeting of the Elk
River Economic Development Authority at 5:40 p.m.
