VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 9, 1960
A special meeting was held at Village Hall on August 9, 1960 for the purpose of issuing extra bonds
for the Liquor Store building and the sewer extension.
Members present:
Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, G.R. Bergerson, August Meyer, Trustees;
H.A. Briggs, Clerk
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Johnson.
A motion was made by Kemper and seconded by Bergerson to issue bonds for $7,000.00 for the
Liquor Store building to run for nine years. Carried.
A motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Bergerson to issue bonds for $12,000.00 for Sewer
extension for nine years. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Bergerson and seconded by Meyer to authorize Mayor and Clerk to enter
into contract with Juran and Moody to for the purchase of the Liquor Store bonds and the sewer
extension bonds.
Motion carried all voting in favor.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
