VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 22, 1960
A special meeting was held at Village Hall on August 22, 1960. The purpose of the meeting was a
hearing regarding sewer and water extensions. Six people were present.
The section called Eighth St (extended) was considered to be too expensive for sewer and it was
decided not to attempt it.
A motion was made by Bergerson and seconded by Meyer to go ahead with extensions on Proctor
Ave, Meadowvale Road, Vernon Ave, and York Ave and authorize Engineer to propose plans.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Kemper and seconded by Briggs to employ William Mills as engineer as per
his contract and also to inspect work done by Rooters and Johnson. Carried.

Council decided to have September meeting on Sept 6 as the regular meeting date falls on Labor
Day.
Meeting adjourned.
