VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
September 6, 1960
A regular meeting was held at Village Hall on September 6, 1960.
Members present:
Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, G.R. Bergerson, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Robert Robideau and J.L. Kayler were present in regard to sewer extensions. This matter will be
taken up later.
Motion by Briggs and seconded by Bergerson to use a facsimile signature for E.D. Palmer, Treasurer
for ordinary signatures on village checks in case of emergency, this with the approval of the village
attorney. Motion carried.
Emil Hoffman was present and asked for information regarding running sewer and water line across
right of way of new section of Highway 169. Nothing further was done about this at this meeting.
The following building permits were approved:
Dan Millslagle, Roger Ostby Jr., Lester Kriesel and Alva Nelson.
Engineer for Carter, Krueger and Associates met with the Council. He recommended certain
changes in the by pass at the east lift station and also advised that the council have danger signs
placed on the fence at the sewer disposal plant.
