VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
November 7, 1960
A regular meeting was held at Village Hall on November 7, 1960.
Members present:
Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, G.A. Bergerson, August Meyer, Trustees;
H.A. Briggs, Clerk
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jonson.
The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.
A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Kemper to have the same hours and judges for the
December Village election. Three Judges and hours from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Carried.
The following levy was made for 1961:
General Fund 33 mills
Utilities 5 mills
Library 4 mills
Poor ½ mills
Music 0 mills
Firemens Relief .1 of 1 mill
Village Improvements 5 mills
A special council meeting was set for Nov. 14 regarding payment of balance on Liquor Store
Contracts. Architect Moose was asked to be present. A motion was made by Meyer and seconded by
Kemper to accept the figures for water and sewer assessments shown on the attached copies.
Carried.
A motion was made by Bergerson and seconded by Meyer hold a hearing on sewer and water
assessments on Nov. 25 at 7:30 P.M. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Bergerson and seconded by Briggs to make contract with Wm J. Mills as
engineer at $25.00 a month. Contracts are to be prepared. Motion carried.
