VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
February 6, 1961
A regular meeting was held at Village Hall on February 6, 1961.
Members present:
Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, Lars Larson, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A.
Briggs, Clerk
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Mrs. Jos Huseth was appointed on the Library Board.
Fire Chief Harry Dreissig was present. He asked for some smoke masks.
A motion was made by Larson and seconded by Kemper to authorize the Fire Department to order
two smoke masks and three tanks. Motion carried.
Manager Balow gave his report for January which was placed on file.
Paul Carton showed a plat of Oak Field First Addition. A motion was made by Kemper and
seconded by Meyer to accept the plat. Motion carried.
The matter of salaries for the Liquor Store was brought but nothing was done at this meeting.
Harry Dreissig appointment as Fire Chief was approved.
