04-06-1961VCM Special VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING April 6, 1961 A special meeting was held at Village Hall on April 6, 1961 for the purpose of consulting with the D.F. Kohl Company regarding bills they have claimed owed them by the village for work in connection with their plumbing contract on the liquor building. Members present: Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, Lars Larson, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk Also present: Al Balow, Frederick Moos, Architect, Rudolph Barthel and two representatives of the Kohl Co. There was discussion regarding the bills, some of which the Council objected to. Before the meeting was over a compromise was agreed upon to pay the sume of $345.00 which was about half of the amount claimed by the Kohl Co. The clerk was authorized to write a check to the Kohl Co. for that amount $345.00. Meeting adjourned. H.A. Briggs Village Clerk
