VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 14, 1961
A special meeting was held at Village Hall on Aug 14, 1961.
Members present:
Henry Johnson, Mayor; R.G. Kemper, Lars Larson, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A.
Briggs, Clerk
The purpose of the meeting was to consider a proposed ordinance in connection with the Union
and the employees of the Municipal Liquor Store.
Changes were suggested in Article II such as drinking on the job or being under the influence of
liquor.
Under Article IV regarding vacations. Council would like vacations to be taken between Sept 1 and
Nov 1.
Leave out Article VIII on uniforms. Under Article X wages. Employees to be paid twice a month.
Leave out Article XVII, Health and Welfare Procedures.
Meeting adjourned.
