Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Alisa Wallace to the position of part-time recreation assistant effective
Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
Background/Discussion
When part-time recreation assistant Jackie Riebel resigned, we went to market to fill her position. We
received 22 applications and interviewed 7 candidates. Following second interviews, background, and
reference checks, we recommend Alisa Wallace for the position.
Ms. Wallace has spent most of her working career in the Elk River School District, first as a substitute
assistant and then as a special education assistant at Twin Lakes and Otsego Elementary Schools. Her most
recent work history is as an executive assistant at Coldwell Banker Realty.
Ms. Wallace will start at step A of pay grade 6N. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
