Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Seth Calvin to the position of IT Manager effective June 29, 2020.
Background/Discussion
IT Manager Bob Pearson began phased retirement last November. We went to market in January to find our
next fulltime IT Manager. Following interviews, leadership assessment, and background and reference check,
we recommend Seth Calvin for the position.
Mr. Calvin holds a bachelor's degree in Human Services and a master's degree in Management of
Technology. He has been working for Marcus Construction since 2006 and has held the positions of IT
Project Manager/Drafter, Operations Support Lead/Estimator, and IT Manager.
Mr. Calvin will start at step A of pay grade 4E and will begin accruing vacation at the rate of three weeks per
year.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
