An Ordinance Amending Chapter, 10, Section 10-36 Violations; Penalty of the City
of Elk River, Minnesota, City Code
The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That § 10-36, Violations; penalty of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be
amended to read as follows:
a) Any violation of this chapter is a misdemeanor, unless determined to be a petty
misdemeanor by the city, punishable in accordance with state law.
b) Any violation of this chapter may be subject to civil penalties.
c) This section is not intended to prohibit a private property owner from seeking additional
penalties or remedies.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption and be published as provided by
law.
