Background/Discussion
The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the ability for Youth Athletic Associations to operate their
programs. Staff has been staying current with the changes in state regulations restricting youth sports play.
Restrictions on play have been eased to a degree within certain guidelines to promote social distancing and
safety. Staff is seeking to update and receive feedback from the Parks and Recreation Commission on the
current status of youth sports play and how field use is being managed.
