Item Description Reviewed by
Discuss Proposed Land Swap with Copart Cal Portner, City Administrator
Reviewed by
Action Requested
Review the proposed plan and provide staff and the applicant with
informal, non-binding feedback.
Background/Discussion
Copart and city staff have been discussing a project that would
exchange 14.3-acre parcels in the southeast corner of the city that
would improve the development potential of parcels owned by both
parties.
The attached graphic shows a rough approximation of the swap and
would adjust the CUP boundaries for the project that was approved
for Copart earlier this year.
If the Council is comfortable with the land swap, Copart would like
to move quickly and begin construction of their project later this
year. Staff will provide additional information and outline the project
timeline.
Financial Impact
Potential costs will be determined as part of an ongoing discussion.
