VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 8, 1947
A special meeting was held at the Municipal Bldg on May 8, 1947.
Members present:
Mayor Glenn Davidson, Elmer Leger, Walter L Johnson, R.A. Ellingson; H.A.
Briggs, Clerk
The meeting was called for the purpose of considering written application of the American Legion
for permit to sell liquor in their club rooms. Several members of the delegation spoke in favor of the
proposition and some against it. A motion was made by Ellingson and seconded by Briggs that the
permit be gratned provided the rules and regulations set up are acceptable to the village council.
Motion carried all voting in favor.
Meeting adjourned.
