VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
February 6, 1950
A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Feb 6, 1950.
Members present:
R. A. Ellingson, Mayor; Emil Parent, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ryding, Trustees
Dan Bailey acted as Village Clerk for the meeting. The minutes of the January 3, 1950 meeting were
read and approved.
Wm. Roggatz appeared for the Fire Department and asked the council to consider the installation of
a fire hydrant in Orono, a pipe from the hydrant to be run below the frost line to Lake Orono. No
action taken by the Council at this meeting.
Motion made by Roy Ryding and seconded by Emil Parent to appoint Lester Derr as local Weed
Inspector. Carried.
It was decided by the Council that the Village would see to the cleaning of the council room after
the same had been used by the Unemployment Compensation representative from St. Cloud.
The following bills were approved and ordered paid:
