03-24-1950 Petition STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF SHERBURNE In the matter of the vacation of a portion of Depot Street adjacent to Lot 3, Block 24, in the Village of Elk River. PETITION TO THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER: Your petitioner, Elmer Leger, represents to the Village Council of the Village of Elk River, Sherburne County, Minnesota, that he is the owner of all the land abutting on the following described portion of Depot Street in said Village of Elk River: That portion of Depot Street lying between Lot Three (3), Block Twenty-four (24) in the Village of Elk River, and the right-of-way of U.S. Highway No. 10, And that your petitioner believes that it would be to the best interest of the public to vacate said portion of Depot Street above described, for the reason that the same is not now and for several years past has not been used by the public and indications are that it will never be devoted to any public purpose. WHEREFORE, Your Petitioner prays that the said Village Council proceed to vacate said street so described, pursuant to the provisions of Section 412.851 of Minnesota Statutes Annotated same th being Section 102 of Chapter 119, Laws of 1949.
