VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
October 2, 1950
A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Oct 2, 1950.
Members present:
R. A. Ellingson, Mayor; Emil Parent, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ellingson. The minutes of the last meeting were read and
approved.
A delegation composed of Lloyd Young, Roy DeMars and A.J. Dabel presented a petition for a
sewer extension in the vicinity of Pond and Main Streets. The Council agreed to have the territory
surveyed and determine the estimated cost.
The Council approved the purchase of two lengths of hose for the fire department. Upon motion by
Bailey and second by Ryding the following levy was made for 1951:
General Fund $10,000.00
Road and Bridge 7,000.00
Poor Fund 500.00
Library Fund 1400.00
Band 2 mills
The following bills were approved and ordered paid:
