VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 8, 1951
A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Jan 8, 1951.
Members present:
R. A. Ellingson, Mayor; Emil Parent, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. The minutes of the last meeting were read and
approved.
A motion was made by Bailey and seconded by Ryding to approve transfer of $1200.00 from the
Liquor Fund to General Fund to be transferred to Sewer Construction Fund. Carried.
Cleland Meyer’s term as member of the Power and Light Commission expired and a motion was
made by Ryding and seconded by Parent to re-appoint Mr. Meyers. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Ryding and seconded by Briggs to re-appoint Charles M Nelson Marshall for
191. Carried.
A motion was made by Briggs and seconded by Ryding to elect Dan Bailey Acting Mayor in case of
the absence of Mayor Ellingson. Carried.
