VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 26, 1952
A special meeting was held at the Municipal Building on May 26, 1952.
Members present:
E.A. Parent, Mayor; Harry Dow, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs,
Clerk
The purpose of the meeting was to consider the appointment of village marshall to replace Charles
M Nelson resigned.
After considerable discussion a motion was made by Ryding and seconded by Briggs to place an
advertisement in the Star News asking for written applications for the position of Marshall to be
accepted up to June 2. Salary offered $250.00 a month. Applicant to furnish and stand expense of
his car.
Meeting adjourned.
