VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 30, 1952
A special meeting was held at the Municipal Building on June 30, 1952.
Members present:
E.A. Parent, Mayor; Harry Dow, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk
The purpose of the meeting was to consider the purchase of fire hose for the Fire Department.
Salesmen were presented from Eureka Fire Hose Co and B.F. Goodrich Co. Each quoted a price of
$1.51 per foot for double jacketed 2 ½ “ untreated hose we to turn in our old couplings. After some
discussion a motion was made by Ryding and seconded by Dow to buy from 500 to 600 feet of
similar hose remnants at 80 cents a food with new couplings no piece to be shorter than 30 feet.
Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned.
