VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 4, 1952
A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Aug 4, 1952.
Members present:
E.A. Parent, Mayor; Harry Dow, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ryding, Trustees; H.A. Briggs,
Clerk
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Parent. The minutes of the last meeting were read and
approved.
Marshall Micheau reported that Sederberg and the Elk River Lumber and Machinery Co would like
extra street lights at that point. The matter was referred to the Light and Power Commission.
Approved by Council.
There was some discussion regarding parking on streets also damage to fire hose caused by
humidity.
A cigarette license was approved for the Barsody filming station.
Earl Hettrick reported that the large sign at the Municipal Liquor Store needs refinishing. It was
agreed to have Danielson refinish the sign.
Building permits were granted to Lloyd Matson and Roderick Heidelberger.
The following bills were approved and ordered paid:
