Action Requested
Mayor to read the proclamation recognizing Franklin Outdoor Advertising for their partnership in the
Together Elk River Campaign.
Background/Discussion
At their April 29, 2020, meeting, the EDA established the Together Elk River Marketing Subcommittee to
support the business community now in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
There's a lot of uncertainty in our world and our community, but one thing is clear: small businesses in Elk
River and surrounding communities need our support now more than ever.
Together Elk Diver is a community initiative to encourage, engage, and support local businesses, non-
profits, and neighbors in need through challenging times.
The City of Elk River and the Together Elk River Subcommittee would like to recognize Franklin
Outdoor Advertising for their generous contribution to the campaign and for their partnership in the
success of the Together Elk Diver campaign.

Proclamation
Designating Franklin Outdoor Advertising as
a partner in the Together Elk River Campaign
WHEREAS, Together Elk River is a community initiative to encourage, engage, and support local
businesses, non -profits, and neighbors in need through challenging times.; and
WHEREAS, Businesses are being forced to adapt daily in the ever -changing economic
environment we are currently faced with. The Together Elk River campaign offers an additional
platform for you to gain exposure and support.; and
WHEREAS, Franklin Outdoor Advertising partnered in the success of the Together Elk River
Campaign, by providing high -visibility billboards along Highway 169 and Highway 10 to promote
the campaign; and
WHEREAS, When you support your local small businesses you support your community and
neighbors; and
WHEREAS, The City of Elk River appreciates the contribution Franklin Outdoor Advertising
made to the Together Elk River Campaign.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, John J. Dietz, Mayor of Elk River, do
hereby proclaim Franklin Outdoor Advertising as a partner in the Together Elk River Campaign.
