A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF CONTRACT IN THE MATTER OF THE
CSAH #1 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENT OF 1991
WHEREAS.
pursuant to Resolution 91 -42 . competitive bids were solicited and
received for the CSAH #1 Elementary School Street and Utility
improvement as set forth in the bid tabulation attached hereto and
incorporated herein by this reference; and
the City Council has considered the amount of the bids and the
responsibility of the bidders and determined that S.J. Louis
Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; and
there is a need and a desire to initiate construction as Quickly as
possible. but the sanitary sewer portion of the project cannot be
considered for award until after the Public Improvement Hearing
scheduled for October 28. 1991;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota:
WHEREAS.
WHEREAS.
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized and directed to execute. on
behalf of the City, such contract with S.J. Louis Construction, Inc. as is
approved by the City Attorney for the completion of only Schedule 5.0 Water
Main of the CSAH #1 Elementary School Street and Utility improvement
according to the approved plans.
2. Schedule 7.0 Water Main Alternate Bid is deleted from the project and the
remaining portions of the project will be considered for award after the
October 28, 1991 Public Improvement Hearing.
3. The City Administrator is authorized and directed to forthwith return to
all bidders the deposits made with their bids upon execution of the
contract above specified.
