Background/Discussion The City Council established the new Multipurpose Facility Advisory Commission on June 1, 2020. The initial appointments were made on July 6, 2020. Jack Lorge was appointed as an at -large representative to the Commission but has since declined the position for various reasons. Staff advertised the position via social media and received five applications so far. The application deadline is noon on Friday, July 17, and any applications received after packet publishing will be added Monday. All applicants have been notified of the interviews. The at -large representative must be an Elk River resident with no affiliation to the former organizations for at least five years.
