2. Consent Agenda
3. Together Elk River Marketing Campaign
Downtown Light Poles/Banners:Jennifer is working on the design for the banners
that will go up downtown.Jennifer met with ERMU staff downtown to determine
the length of the banner hangers. It was determined that 36" for the length and the
poles are 20"wide will give enough clearance to the sidewalks and parked cars.
Kaylin questioned if the Hwy 10 banners were a part of the TER initiative.Amanda
stated yes, and she spoke with Marcy at Streets who stated the printing can be done
in house. Amanda gave the specs to Jennifer, who was working on the cost
estimates. The banners would cost approximately$6 to stitch and $24 to print for a
total of$30/each. The budget allocated for the banners is $3,142.
Billboard/Digital Signage: Debbi identified about 24 businesses who have digital
billboards. She will reach out to the businesses asking them to promote the
.#TogetherElkRiver and logo. Debbi will discuss getting the logo in different formats
with the Design Task Force,
Yard Signs:Jennifer uploaded the yard sign design into the dropbox that the Design
Task Force approved.Jennifer will get the proof finalized before it goes to print.
Jennifer also discussed stickers that could be ordered. There are 1", 2" or 3" options.
The group decided on a 2" sticker which would be printed on white gloss paper and
would be a one use sticker. The group discussed costs associated ordering stickers in
bulk.Jennifer obtained estimates for 5,000 sticker's at .65 for a total of$324; or
• 10,000 stickers for .43 for a total of$420. The funds to purchase the stickers would
come out of the remaining budget that the EDA allocated to this initiative.
Motion by Debbi and seconded by Kaylin to order 10,000 stickers using the
remaining budget funds. Motion carried 7-0.
Website: Kaylin is working on the social media content. The group discussed the
business directory, specifically businesses that office outside of Elk River city limits.
. The group questioned whether these businesses should be included in the online
Business Directory. The group will defer this question to the EDA. Colleen stated .
that there have been three more businesses, which submitted their business to the
business directory.
