1. Call Meeting to Order/Roll Call
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic
Development Authority Together Elk River Sub-Committee was called to order
which included roll call at 9:04 a.m. by Jennifer Wagner.
2. Consent Agenda
Motion by Amanda and seconded by Charlie to approve the May 20,
2020 Together Elk River meeting minutes. Motion carried 7-0.
Motion by Charlie and seconded by Kaylin to approve the May 26,
2020 Together Elk River meeting minutes. Motion carried 7-0.
3. Together Elk River Marketing Campaign
Window Decals,Yard Signs, and Stickers:Jennifer ordered the decals,yard signs and
the stickers.
Star News ad: The Design Task Force discussed changing the ad to include a
"teaser"which would highlight the upcoming availability of the decals, sticker and
yard signs.
Digital Billboard: Debbi reached out to the businesses to request the specs of the
digital billboard graphics.
Community Engagement:The chamber will distribute the coloring page and will
promote the coloring contest on social media sites.
Business Directory: The business directory has gained momentum due to the
promotion in the chamber newsletter and city/EDA social media posts.
Distribution of signs, decal, stickers;Kaylin will include information in the online
request form for residents to complete if they want a yard sign. Distribution will be
divvyed up between Charlie,Jennifer and Debbi depending on the response.The
group discussed there will still be a need to have the signs available at the liquor
stores.
Next meetings are schedule for:
a. Monday,June 1, 2020 at 9:00`a.m.
b. Thursday,June 4, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
4. Adjournment,
Moved by Amanda OthoUdt and seconded by Colleen Eddy to adjourn the
meeting. Motion carried 7-0.
There being no furtherbusiness,Jennifer Wagner adjourned the meeting of the Elk
River Economic Development Authority Together Elk River sub-committee at 9:31
a.m.
