Action Requested
Discuss new park boundary signs for Oxbow Park to increase safety with hunters and address any discrepancies
with city ordinance.
Background/Discussion
In November 2019, John Finch, 18047 Concord Street, expressed concerns with hunters and safety at Oxbow
Park near the W. H. Houlton Conservation Area.
Councilmember Christianson and Police Chief Nierenhausen walked through the park and noted the current signs
are very small and may be misleading to visitors. Chief Nierenhausen also noted some discrepancies with city
ordinance.
