Interior painting has been completed in the Gary Street Water. There was a slight delay
in getting the tower back in service because a shear pin on the shut off valve broke
when staff attempted to open the valve. Utilities staff excavated and repaired the valve,
the tower is now back in service.
Our new Water Operator Chad Johnson started on August 31.
The water operators have been locating and exercising watermainvalves located in the
2020 and 2021 street project areas. This allows us to identify if there are issues with any
valves and excavate to make repairs before new roadsurfaces areconstructed.
