A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE MINNESOTA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION
1988 LEGISLATIVE PLATFORM
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Library Association (MLA) has adopted a
1988 Legislative Platform calling for the continued
funding of existing library programs and for new
Legislative initiatives relating to public library
services, and;
WHEREAS, the Elk River Library Board has reviewed the MLA 1988
Legislative Platform and found the MLA position to be
in the best interest of the Elk River Public Library,
and;
WHEREAS, the Elk River Library Board has passed a motion
requesting the Elk River City Council to support the
1988 MLA Legislative Platform, and;
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has reviewed the MLA 1988
Legislative Platform and has found this position to be
in the best interest of the City of Elk River and the
Elk River Public Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River that the City supports and endorses the MLA
1988 Legislative Platform as adopted by the MLA Board.
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 1st day of
February, 1988.
