I. Call Meeting to Order/Roll Call
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Economic
• Development Authority Together Elk River Sub-Committee was called to order
which included roll call at 9:04 a.m. by Jennifer Wagner.
2. Consent Agenda
Motion by Debbi and seconded by Charlie to approve the June 29,
2020 Meeting Minutes. Motion carried 5-0.
3. Together Elk River Marketing Campaign
Window Decals,Yard Signs,and Stickers: Charlie has had several conversations with
the DECA students,who continue to contact businesses.The students will need to
use their personal email addresses to access Dropbox, as ISD 728 email address do
not allow access to Dropbox. The students will update the decal, sticker and sign
spreadsheet once they have access. Over 30 calls have been completed.
Jennifer will drop off some more signs at the two liquor stores and Colleen continues
to send out decals and stickers as requests come in. Debbi will work with the
Chamber Ambassadors on distributing signs, decals and stickers to fellow businesses
and to promote the upcoming"TogetherElkRiver Week" in August.
The group also discussed the need to keep the EDA Business Directory current and
if there should be only Elk River Business listed. The group would like to discuss
these items at an upcoming EDA meeting.
Coloring Page: Kaylin has updated the coloring page and has posted it on Facebook.
There has already been two completed pages dropped off at the Farmers Market.
The people who complete and turn them in this event receives a $1 Market Cash
Token.
Banners: The task force is still working on two photos for the Shop and Restaurant
banners and have reached out to CHOW, Daddy O's, Olive a Day and Kemper
Drug.
Star News article:Jennifer is working with Jim Boyle on an article for the TER
campaign and its community spirit.
TER Week: The group discussed celebrating.the TER campaign during the week of
August 23 —29, 2020. Ideas up for discussion is the name of the week, how to reach
out to businesses for them the decide how they want to participate. This item will be
discussed at the next TER meeting. Businesses that might want to participate;retail,
restaurants, service providers and banks.
Next meetings are schedule for:
a. Monday,July 20, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.
4. Adjournment
Moved by Debbi Rydberg and seconded by Charlie Blesener to adjourn the
meeting. Motion carried 5-0.
There being no further business,Jennifer Wagner adjourned the meeting of the Elk
i River Economic Development Authority Together Elk River sub-committee at 9:58
a.m.
